The Abduction of Psyche

In Roman myth, Amor falls in love with the mortal princess Psyche.

He secretly carries her away to a magical palace, visiting her only at night. Forbidden to see his face, Psyche lives in comfort but struggles with doubt. Urged by her sisters, she looks upon Amor and breaks his trust.

This act leads to trials that ultimately prove her love and grant her immortality.
